Default Newport Nooks - 8/10

A simple question.

Where the ____ are they?

No...wait....that's not the question.

Where will they be this weekend?

They are in Garibaldi. We took 3 from 15-20 pounds in a couple hours south of the harbor along the 270' line.

I know somebody going out of Newport tomorrow and possibly Thurs. Will post when I hear the results. He is planning to go North.

The result was not good. No Chinook to be found.

He came up short on Chinook - He found none. They did find some ling up North somewhere but I didn't get the details. He has been at the RockPile, then off Seal Rock, and now up North and he hasn't been able to locate any Chinnook. I don't know where they have scattered to.

Let us know if you have any luck. I am seeing posts about Chinook starting to come into Winchester Bay, so this may be an option also.

Are you locked into Newport? Because there are certainly salmon off Garibaldi, and in the ocean out in front of the Columbia. If I NEEDED salmon, I would head out past CR buoy.
