Default Best DSL?

Well I am finally tired of argueing with Verizon over additional DSL services I do not want that the keep telling me they can/will cancel yet still show up on my bill every month. Heck I have even tried to cancel the whole account with them more than once. Since I now have two cancellation conformation numbers for the account I figure its time to just stop paying the darn bill.

Who has suggestions for what they like and don't like for broadband access in the Tigard area?

Not sure if clearwire is in your area, it works great. I dumped verizon and went thru the same garbage you are. I finally called them and said I wanted my phone disconnected they asked why I told them the next day my internet was disabled got clearwire and then called verizon and and canceled my long distance.

Have you tried Comcast?....You can always try a promo with them for $19.99 a month for 6 months....They have 3 different speed tiers...4mb, 6mb amd the 8mb speeds.....With the 6 and the 8 you get the power boost which can put you around 15-25 mbps quite frequently.....If you have questions about Comcast's product's you can PM me!!..

When we have 19.99 up right now no promos like....Unless you can pull something from your end..Give comcast a try great speeds and service...

dsl is a different animal than cable internet.
DSL uses telephone copper facilities (in most areas) unless you are getting it through glass.

So that means that generally you will need a phone line and associated charges in order to have the dsl.

Cable internet is generally run on Copper coax facilities unless you have glass to your house (doubtful if it is anything but a brand new subdivision). but it does not require a phone line at all.

I have comcast cable internet. And I work for a company that sells dsl.

go figure
