I am attending the 8/5 meeting in Newport. Leaving from Aloha at 3pm sharp. Smoker friendly vehicle. 2-4 open seats at this time.

The preference (If you feel like you're going to want to comment on the agenda item) is to be there by 8am so that you can sign up to speak.

Otherwise, I'd suggest rolling in at 1pm. You can call the Director's office (503) 872-5272 and put your name on the list to comment, but I think those who are there and sign in get priority.

Agenda for the meeting on August 9 in Corvallis calls for wildife issues first (B,C,D, E). Then F (about BPA funded projects) and G look like they could take up quite a bit of time. G is about a crab pot limitation, which I am sure is controversial. So I think if we show up after lunch, we would still get to sign up to speak on our concern for nearshore fisheries and our desire that gear restrcitions etc. be considered rather than total closures.

Would love to carpool to Corvallis. Unfortunately, won't know for a couple of days as to whether I'll be returning from Corvallis or heading on to the beach from there. Stay tuned...
