Default Reliable Tuna Report?

Does anybody have a reliable tuna report out of Depoe Bay? I'm still thinking of trying it Sunday. The Oregonian reported 45 miles in the paper -- if that's the case I'll wait.

Current SSTs show cold water for a LONG way out on the central coast. That's why I am doing Garibaldi.

See the current free terrafin.

Of course these things can change rather quickly.

Threemuch,

I saw that too ... I was hoping for a big change by the weekend, but maybe not.

Thanks for the free look at the temps..........unless I am confused it looks to me like there is descent temp 30 to 35 miles out..... of Depoe.

I am still going out Sunday from Depoe, weather permitting ( and thats looking better)

I may put the deep lines in because some guys at work have been getting some hog chinooks 3 miles off Salmon river.

Popeye....we are thinking the same thing.........I was thinking of Halibut hill though...a little further out and a little more north.
The only think that would change my plans are weather, and big fish on the pile friday.
Lets be sure and touch bases Fri. night....either on the board or call me....265 5904.

Seasquid

I went tuna out of Depoe Wednesday and Thursday and did well both days. Wednesday we zigged when we should have zagged and only got 10, but went back Thursday and got 20 and went home with the tuna still foaming. Wednesday we went 42 miles and should have gone a couple more. Thursday we went 37 and were in them thick. I hear that the Irish has been fishing 32 miles to the north and west of Newport and getting respectable catches. We limited on the salmon on Friday, went home for the weekend and came back Monday to limit on Chinook off Government Point to 28 lbs. There was a bite in 210 feet of water that was unreal. We caught our last chinook and after we netting it we realized there was still one rod left in the water...............yup that got hammered as soon as I picked it up by another mint 25 lber. that got off very lucky. No downriggers, just delta divers and fish flasher with a plug cut herring.

Back on tuna, I haven't heard any big scores of fish but they are still out there. What days are you going to go???
