Default AnySoldier.com

This is a great site where you can read the requests of persons in Iraq and Afghanistan for various things for themselves or others, and you can get in touch for their address and send the stuff over.

I see on a lot of threads posted of people getting new Nintendos, rods, cameras, etc. We all have things just laying around that I'm sure would be easy to part with. Old DVDs, CDs, CD/DVD players, compact or older TVs, pens, paper, envelopes, linen (believe it or not, some bases are short on blankets). Washing detergent, toothpaste, soap, MachIII blades seem to be preferred and disinfectant baby wipes are almost always asked for.

I mention fishing rods because, yes a lot do fish and according to YouTube there are some good gamefish over there. Video game machines, games and controllers are really popular. Along with every type of hygiene product you can imagine. It is very hard to get the better brands or types you would be comfortable using.

So if you have an old system laying around, or some games you don't play anymore, or would be willing to drop by an outlet store and pick up a few various products, send em over. When I find the right unit I'll pack up my Playstation2 and all my games since summer is coming and I'll be fishing all the time. Maybe go to the hockshop and pick up a bunch of $5 DVDs.

Let's ask James what the soldier's would like to have this time of year. I've been sending Justin, ready made tuna/chicken packets, pudding snacks, chips & salsa (salsa in a can), I even sent a pound cake & can of frosting. hand held games, I sent 20 questions? Him & his buddies love this sort of stuff. Any other idea's james? Justin says If something needs to heated, like pop top spagetio's or stew, they can do that with the heat pac from their MRE

Just wondering, he once asked for saran wrap, what would they use this for?

Another big request is SOX, T-shirts, but make sure you have the right color.

If sending to any soldier, remember that there are women over there, and maybe some girly things may be nice. Cosmo, other mags, personal products.

Hey,

yeah socks are great to get over here. just make sure they are white socks. T-shirts are really good too. hand held games we get those a lot as with them tuna/fish packets. I have some of those that my mom sends me. i really like those. uhmm we have a microwave here so we don't have to use the MRE heaters but if we had to like out on missions we do use the MRE heaters. as for saran wrap i don't really know what to use that for.lol. but yeah any type of canned food...ramen noodles etc... thats all good to get over here. socks,t shirts, hand held games, board games we play sometimes, cards pretty much anything to keep you entertained.lol. to get your mind of what we are reallyl doing over here.
well yeah if you guys need any names of soldiers to send stuff too i'll get you guy's a bunch of names. So i'll talk to you all later alright.

Alright, I'll start....
James, If you know a woman soldier that would appreciate a package, I would be happy to send a box of goodies, I already have Justin in Afganistan to send to, but we'd be honored to send to another Hero!

Thanks, PM me her name & mail address.

James, you guys have any use for a Playstation 2? I have two controllers and several games. If you want the games cool, but you can have the whole unit if you want it.

Any DVD requests? If you have a player I'm sure I can find some cheap vids at the hock-shop.

Thats a really great offer oregonnative!
Where are your properties? Most of the guys I take out don't like crowds, or being around inconsiderate folks.
Thank You. James is pumped to fish Winter Steel in December.
