Default Garibaldi Lake 7/28

Oh.......I guess that was the ocean!!

Neighbor got out of Garibaldi at sun up and boated 4 fish by 9am. I called him on the cell phone right as he got his last fish so I decided to make a run.

Put the boat in the water at 1pm, started fishing at 1:30 and had 4 fish in the boat by 4:00pm. Not to mention we had 3 doubles!! Released 4-5 natives, lost 1 fish, and many takedowns.

As we crossed the bar the conditions were no chop and 3-4 ft. swell at close intervals. Within an hour the ocean had completely laid down flat with 0 wind, 0 chop, and maybe 6"-1ft. swell. It was like a ******* lake! Had it not been for my father-in-law deciding we should head back I would probably still be there fishing.....for shark....for tuna...bottom fish....whatever!

Another fine example of a poor forecast for that location. Forecast = 3 ft. / 5 ft.

Only got 10 crab but that was plenty!
