I am in.............the weather is the governing factor for me. The pile is for sure and the ranch and or halibut hill will work with a tuna combo.

this is going to be fun...............

Wak, you looking for more Tuna?

You got bit bad on that first run, eh?

I'm in too. I like the pile but how many times a year do I have the excuse to cruise 30+ miles on the open Ocean in a small boat?

The weather is the key. We must break the string of glass work days and dogcrap weekend days.

I'll be at the pile both days, depending on the weather of course. I'll be in a 21' dark red Thunderjet. If you see me give me a shout.

Count me in for the pile on both days. In fact, I'll be fishing out of Newport the next three weekends. Wooooohooooo!!!!

Gray & White Marlin with hardtop and lots of antennas.

There will be more Halibut days for sure. The average for the May season was 16,250 lbs/day. We have 103,000 lbs to catch, which could give us 6 days. But, many of the days of the May season were pretty rough which kept the catch down.

The next possible days are Aug 23/24 and I predict both these days will be open, as well as one more additional day later, either 9/20 or 9/21.

See http://hmsc.orst.edu/odfw/regs/halibut.html for quota info and potential open days.

The Louie-Louie will try to make a break for the halibut grounds off of Garibaldi this friday, if the weather will only co-operate....

Is there anyone else going our way ??? If so, we'd also like to fish for albacore, but only if we have a companion boat with us. We'll at least troll back for salmon. Craig

I'm also going out of Garibaldi Fri. & Sat. If the ocean is nice I'd love to go tuna fishing, I'm in a 22' Reinell walkaround, white with blue stripe. Pick a channel on the vhf and try to reach me.

Open Seats? My boat is too small to make it out. Let me know if you need crew and what I can contribute or trade for the trip. I can be ready anytime.

Looks like two days of halicorelcodmon fishing for us. Boat is a white cruiser 22' named Party of five. John I would like to tag along in your shadow if it is OK. I will be looking for some herring on Thursday so give me a yell if you need some on Friday Morning.

Dan! You bet man, I'll trade your company on big blue for fresh bait anyday.

I'll fish Newport both days, and I hope to see all you Salty dogs there.

Seasquid is in for the Rockpile Friday and Saturday. If I didn't have the boat already in the water at South Beach, I would certainly be considering Garibaldi for a better opportunity for albies.

I'm holding out hope (weather forecast) for a tuna only run Sunday out of Depoe if anybody is interested.
