Re: anybody heard when silvers will close?
They're going to leave South open (it's at 68%)and review catch rates the 29th. North is at 15% (Silver) and 37% (Chinook) through the Week ending the 21st.

From the ODFW update page:
7/25/02 UPDATE: Recreational Selective Coho Salmon Cape Falcon to Humbug Mt.: A conference call was held this morning with ODFW staff, charter and recreational fishery representatives, the Pacific Fishery Management Council, and the National Marine Fisheries Service to review the status of the selective coho fishery and discuss possible management options. Catches through Wednesday July 24 total 15,400 coho or 68.4% of the quota, and weather forecasts for the coming weekend indicate strong winds and heavy seas are likely to substantially limit fishing opportunity and catch throughout the area. The National Marine Fisheries Service has decided to wait until 2:00 PM Monday July 29 to review catches, and will revisit management options at that time.
7/18/02 ACTION NOTICE: Recreational Salmon North of Cape Falcon Regulation Changes: Effective Sunday July 21, 2002, the minimum size limit for chinook in the area from Leadbetter Pt., WA to Cape Falcon, OR will increase to 26 inches. For areas North of Leadbetter Pt., the minimum size limit for chinook increases to 28 inches. Additionally, the area chinook catch guidelines for all areas North of Cape Falcon will be combined into one overall chinook quota, and the quota will be adjusted downward to account for changes in hook and release mortality to chinook with the new size limits. This action was taken in response to the rate at which the chinook guidelines were being approached, in an effort to keep the seasons open to access more of the coho allocation.
