Owhyee Report
Spent the day fishing with a good friend yesterday. Water was about 64 degress. Lots of fish, crappie running 9 to 10 inches. Looked like the spawn might be over, no eggs in any of the fish we got. Lots of very dark fish, I don't know what that means unless we were catch both white and black crappie, I don't know the differance yet. Got lots of small bass, one smallmouth 16" and one cat that was 3 to 4lbs. Red and white jigs which I guess is the norm for the crappie here. Raining today, will catch up on work around the place today and will be fish tomorrow. Life is good Olg

Re: Owhyee Report
Good report OG. Those dark fish are the males that guard the nest. Could be white or black crappie but if the head was almost all black they were black crappie.

Re: Owhyee Report
Thanks CC
I am kind of a fishing nut, like to know about the fish I am catching. Sometimes it is a slow process for me With the help from the guys on the board it help a lot.
By the way, my three year old grandauther call after I posted yesterday. Her dad and her want to go fishing so we loaded his boat and off we went, HONEY DOES can wait. She got her first fish, family time is great.

Re: Owhyee Report
Thanks for the report...can't wait for the family road trip in August! I'll be sending you that PM before I head over.
Good job on putting the "honey-do's" aside...fishing is WAY more important!
