Default Wave forcasting

OK...where in the state was there 1ft. chop/6 ft. swell today? Garibaldi was more like 2ft. chop/ 15 ft. swells!!!!!!!!!

Momma always told me I should get a job which involves forcasting the weather!

I want to know why that on the weekends they can't be wrong like that. Why is it that during the week you have been getting 1ft wind, 4ft swell and 10kt winds, then it comes to the weekend and Wham! 6ft wind shop, 5ft swells and 25 to 30kt winds!

I wanna retire!

Lepper,

Were you able to get out of Charleston? If so how did you do? I'm hoping to get out of Winchester this weekend. May try Charleston...just hope the NOAA predictions are wrong this weekend! Doesn't look good for getting out this weekend

hey thick and thin..... Got out of charelston last night, Wife caught her first chinook, and I caught one and we stopped after that... I saw tailchaser out there and they caught there limit in an hour and half. The weather conditions seem to be right on the money... I could have gotten out today, but the coast gaurd would have been there to lecture me! and the wind is only suppose to be getting worse.... of course when it does get better is when I won't be here!!!!!! Don't hesistate to contact me if you want me to look out my window and say, "I think i'll go fishing" or "It sucks outside!"

If I were you T&T I would'nt be coming this way this weekend. Forcasts haven't been favorable at all. To the point I'm not bothering with the ocean and am going to fight the crazies on the rogue. I must be desperate to fight a seal (from TH's post). Any seal that comes near my boat with a fish on will have a pretty good battle before he leaves with it.

Part of the problem down here is if there's a small craft advisory, the Coast Guard becomes very picky on what they let over the bar. You could usually sneak out a couple hours in the morning and be ok, but I've seen 2-4 slight chop and have restrictions to 26' and over. I guess it's thier job to look after us, but sometimes it's rediculous.

Also, fishing at winchester has been off and on from my local contacts. Anyhow, my 2 cents.

Thanks, Lepper & Tailchaser!

Unfortunately I have reservations paid for, otherwise I'd stay home and catch up with work around the house.

I'll proabably do some sturgeon fishing up river and crabbing in the bay. May try some trolling in the bay. Last weekend when I was at Winchester I heard a couple people caught chinook in the bay.

Lepper, I bet your wife is hooked for good now after her first chinook!

Thanks again guys,

James
