Default Wednesday Tuna from Depoe

Looks like the weather is coming up a bit for the end of the week and the weekend, so I am heading out Wednesday from Depoe before it gets nasty. I figure the morning will be like Tuesday and be glassy in the am and then a little breeze should come up in the pm to push you back home. Still sounds like the fish are pretty thick from 20 to 30 miles out. We will depart around 5:15 or so and follow the plotter line toward the 125/45 spot and will monitor channel 80 if anyone wants to follow or call for info. I will answer to Marty or Xta-Sea. I will try and put info on board for all those who may try for Thursday. Good huntin for everyone and special thanks to Pilar for all his hard work and 'right-on' info.

Find em and Grind em

Marty,

Depending on how beat up we get tomorrow(Tues) in Garibaldi, we may try to beat it down to Depoe for Wednesday tuna. I'll be in a Bayliner Trophy towed by a tan Ford Excursion. See ya.

Hope to see you in the kill zone.

Hey Marty,

Good luck -- I'm out of state this week or I would join you.

Well I took your advice and pulled into one of those empty slips next to you last week....About 11-11:30 p.m. I was woke up by the U.S. Coast Guard and the Harbormaster -- they made me get out of my boat "slowly, so we can see your hands." Apparently someone from shore thought I was stealing your boat or gear -- after providing identification and boat registration -- they left me alone.

I guess that's nice to know that someone is watching things.

later.

Ooops, sorry about the last post ... this high tech stuff really confuses me!!

Marty, are you the Sea Sport on dock 3 at Dopey Bay? I'm the new guy at the end of
the dock (just got my slip last year).

Hi Martie. If you aren't already gone, good luck.

Guess we're going to go out too, but will probably leave from Newport, as Pilar says it is bigger easier for a newbie. We just have CB, so won't be able to talk out there. Will share war stories when we get back.

I don't think I'm going to make it and it's killing me. I ordered some jigs on Sunday, which shipped yesterday 2nd day air, with the intent of getting them tomorrow for fishing on Thursday!

Also, I'm really zonked from the trip to Garibaldi today. Too much work on rough seas!

I've got 2 jigs left, and a possible make-shift 3rd...................do I go anyway? I think I could possibly make up some crappy jigs for the handlines.......mmmmmmmm. How much sleep does a guy need? I got about 2 hours last night and in order to get to Depoe to meet everyone I would be lucky to get another 2 hours. Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh.

Does anyone know how the ocean conditions were down at Depoe or Newport today? Let me know and that might tip the scales.

Wak, I do need jigs! Maybe I should just wait and see if we can go out with you later?

That's it. I couldn't take it. It's 2:45 and I'm leaving for Depoe! I borrowed some tackle from a neighbor!

As long as I can stay awake I should be fine!
