Took my 12 year old son steelheading for the first time this morning as well as my regular fishing partner, boy howdy did it rain. Spent the morning above the guide shop hitting some holes, but could not get the fish to bite. Don't know if anyone is heading down there tommorrow but,if you normally get you sand shrimp at the guide shop, they were out this morning and were not sure when they would get any. So call ahead.

subline, Read your post too fast and assumed you were in a boat. :blush: Anyway, We started at kansas creek and then moved up to about the 20 mile marker and fished three holes between there and 25 mile. Tried to hit spots for junior to work his bobber and jig setup. After being away from steelheading for a long time it taking me awhile to get things figured out. But then again more of my days are spent fishing instead of catching. Intend to make at least a couple of more efforts yet, so if you see a early 90's red/white ford 4x4 with a white canopy stop in and chat.
