Default ZINC Noid ?????

I have some questions aboutZinc if anyone can help me I would appreciate it. The only zinc I have right now is what the factory installed on my sport jet. I do both salt and fresh water fishing. I have a sled and I fish fresh and Salt with downriggers. I do not have a black box.

1/ Is there there a recommended amount of zinc per ft of boat?

2/ Does the zinc need to be balanced on both sides of the boat? or can I have one noid on the one side of the boat?

3/ Does the Zinc need to be in direct contact with the aluminum hull?

Thanks for any feed back you can give me.

Default Re: ZINC Noid ?????

you could look at BOAT ZINCS.com web site.lot of info and will find answers to ?. i bought additional zincs for my thunder jet as i feel factory was not enough.also got zinc kit for the bennet trim tabs.also hamilton pumps recommended complete zinc kit (nine zincs) for saltwater use.they are on order and will install on arrival.zincs don't work in fresh water is my understanding so a none issue for some owners.hope that helps.
