Default interesting Salmon technic......

Just thought I would share this.... Was out of charleston fishing last night and the only guy in the boat that caught the fist was doing it in a way that I hadn't seen done in the ocean before....

He did not have a diver, nor a down rigger. What he did have was one of the triangle shaped spiners with a double hook set. In front of the flasher he had a 2 ounce round sinker on a slider, he was also letting out 50 feet of line, so not that much. Had a hole herring on there.. We trolled about .9-1.5 mph and he caught the fish..... We were using di vers and out any where from 3-10 pulls and didn't get a bite, he had numerous bites ect.. ect.. yadda yadda........

just thought I would share what we found to work......

I don't use divers at B10 at all and have since always limited. I use 2-8oz banana trolling sinkers w/bead swivels inline, a flasher, and a whole herring. just switch out the weights on clips and fish surface to bottom at will, without the rod bending pull, just easy to detect bites. The slider is even more sensitive, but will get more tangled. My two cents. Doc
