Default boat and trailer sizing

Looking online at a used trailer. Obviously I cant pick the boat up (18ft starcraft 2000lbs on the scale) and put it on the trailer to check fitments. What recommendations do you all have about getting a correct trailer size. couple things I thought of are
1) boat width, the trailer has guides
2) trailer runners angle
3) depth of hull in my boat vs channel of trailer

thx for any thoughts

looks like you got it covered, few other things- brakes would be a bonus and make sure the winch post will reach and is adjustable.

Cool Re: boat and trailer sizing

Make sure the rating on the axles is enough for your fully loaded Boat ...

thanks... I looked today... couldn't find a axle rating, but it looked on the small side... the trailer width was also not wide enough... the 18ft boat he said that was on there must have been a narrow body...
