Default More Brownlee/Oxbow fishing reports please...

I am itching to take our annual trip to Brownlee reservoir in 3 weeks and was just looking for updates and fishing report. This is my only window to Oxbow and Brownlee fishing. We usually go for catfish and bass. Thanks in advance. Very nice part of the country for folks that live that part of the country. I wouldn't mind spending a few weeks there camp/fish/eat with my family. Last year we stayed at OASIS campsite in Huntington for 4 days in late July with an average of 102 degrees. Got to love it

By the time of your trip it should be as full as it's going to get . The water should be stabilized and fishing conditions really good. Crappie will be slowing down but the tail-end of the crappie spawn will be going on and cats and bluegill should be really turning on. A good time for a mixed catch and great camping weather.
So how was the fishing down at Oasis? Any flatheads?

Thanks Crappie for the updates. We did pretty good on the catfish right off the bank using frozen crickets. They were pretty good size ranging from 3-5 lbs. Each day, my sons and I caught and kept about 10 good size cats and took home about 30 for the 4 days we were there. It was too hot to do much else. Thanks god for the air condition in our TT. My 2 and 5 years old sons loved it and that was all I care. Trying to make a tradition for them every summer now.

Thanks olg for the update as well. You must feel lucky to be able to fish there as often as you do. Drop in a report or two anytime you do any fishing out that way. Hope to bump into some of you ifishers out there when we go.

Just returned from 3 days on Brownlee. We spent most of our time on the Idaho side about .5 miles south of the Powder arm. Great weather except Saturday afternoon, wind picked up for a few hours and got things stirred up pretty good. Crappie were very active and bass fishing was good. Kind of slow on the cats where we were, usually we pick up more. I broke off a very nice sm trying to get it in the boat (forgot my net). Most were 2-3 lbs. though. Water is up and everything is easily accessible. If you are in a boat, watch for debris. We ended up seeing deer, elk, rattlesnakes, and alot of fish!
