Default Jet Diver Fishing....

If you are fishing Jet Divers with either kwikfish or bait, backtrolling or anchored, how do you know that you're close to the bottom? Trust the label on the package, or just let out until you bounce and then reel up a few cranks? Thanks, TOC.

Default Re: Jet Diver Fishing....

If you aren't bouncing the bottom, you aren't fishing in the right place. I use the size 50 diver, and it hangs up occasionally. Nice thing is it'll float up if you break it off. I haven't lost a diver in 3 years, and only lost 1 Kwikfish. You need to get close to the bottom, and if you are fishing in enough current, your diver will kick off the bottom when it hits the rocks.
