Smile Green Peter 5/29/08

Fished green peter yesterday, starting at about 7:45 - I was unhappy that we were so late, but ended up being the first trailer in the parking lot. Had zero success in finding the Koke's - my fish finder wouldnt pick anything up, and hours of trolling failed to come up with anything. Did, however, pick up two limits of nice trout, 11-12 inches, perfect for the frypan.

Started out trolling at the island where the water was 56 degrees, and yielded one trout in 1.5 hours. Ran down to the dam and tried jigging with two hits in maybe an hour, but no catches. Water at the dam was 52 degrees. Ran aways up past the island and found 59 degree water, and picked up the rest of the trout in fairly short order.

Question (and I should check the regs), is it legal to continue to fish for Koke's after you have retained a limit of trout. I leaned towards no, so at that point we quit for the day, but I wonder....

I fished today with similar results. We had a Scooby-rod out and that got bit the most!! The 78 year old grampy could not get the fish in, but my boy who is 3 slayed with the Scooby-rod.

Fish on the surface down to 45 feet but no consistant bite. Keep changing it is your only chance right now.

Yes, after a limit of trout you can fish for KoKe or Bass.

I got skunked except for trout myself in may. I had the most action on the south end across from the island. The dam area was way to full of logs and debris for me to manuever like I want. I was very happy to see it full again after all this time.
