Default Hunt tag #'s posted

It looks like they've posted the results. In looking at the "proposed" and the "corrected" tag numbers...there's more tags than what they originally thought or they want more money for the same amount of animals. I should get my 600 and 100 tags.

- wasn't this stuff supposed to be set on June 6?? and it's already out...

You know what is funny. In all of the years I have never once saw where the proposed tag numbers are the same as the corrected. So why even have input on the tags if odfw is just going to tack on an extra 100 or 200 tags. Trying to squeeze more money out of animals that we don't have. Spring bears tags it like lets make a trophy bear unit out of west blues come on otc for bear. the population is not going to rebound if they don't do some major tag # cuts,

Remember guys the purposed and the corrected are two different things. The corrected are the number of tags-times the correction factor for the number of people who do not pick up their tags, so it is not really an increase in tag numbers. The department has been doing this since we dropped the left over tag draw. I see a few units are loosing buck tags this year, Ochoco, Ukiah, Sumpter and a few more.

I see the purposed Blacktail Plan is out, only got to read a little bit, ought to be interesting. Already see a point of contention in the tooth age structure data, the data collected up in Saddle Mt. doen't look like the data collected in southern Oregon. I will have to dig out the stats.

While I agree with the above comments that these numbers are done deals, you do have the chance to comment in June.

also noticed that most all the southest oregon buck deer hunts are reducing tags. What are some of your guys' thoughts as to why.
