http://news.statesmanjournal.com/article.cfm?i=44850
Enough fish for 2 days!! Hey baitboy, I'm calling team PILAR into active duty status and mobilizing the reserves. How about it man? You, me and Ray? My daughter wants one of the days so pick one.
Anyone else going August 2 or 3?

Re: August flatties
I'll be there on the 3rd for sure (finally got the "Gottago" goin!) and am working on time off for the 2nd.
Hope to see you out there. I've got a pretty good idea where you'll be those days.

Re: August flatties
We will be out there both days for the hali's and the nooks, can't wait. I think I might know where you will be too. I like that hali nook bacore . So pilar, I got some great pictures of you with your big king salmon on the last halibut day. I will scan them in and post for you to see. We went out last week and hooked into some nice kings each day, 23 pounds 36 inches. That was my 1st big salmon. We limited the boat all three days. all were kings, then Sunday we got fresh herring in the bay. It was awesome for herring you couldn,t keep em off the hooks. So we are ready for halibut.

Re: August flatties
Yes they are still there...my son caught some today......I also saw tons of longliners there on their opener.
Pilar......RJ and I actually have those days off.......we will be there......and if for some strange reason the weather permits.....we are hoping to just spend the night out there. I wonder how you explain that to the fish checkers the next day.???? OH well...

Re: August flatties
Hoping to be there but not planning on fighting any rough seas. Will definately be a Halicoremon trip.
Last night I discovered true happiness: thought I had run out of flattie but found a paper sack with 7 vac sealed bags of the good stuff under some old anchovies. Ahh, the little things in life...

Re: August flatties
Let me know Ray. Houston 'South Paw' wants to fish too. I think he wanted Friday but will take whatever is available.
We really need a 'Mother' ship to toss all the fish into.
