Default Open Seats Neah Bay!

I have a couple of open seats for Neah Bay this weekend. With the weather the way it is going to be I just have to go. We will be fishing Canadian waters so that will be a factor. Pm me if you are interested!

Things look really good and hardly any tidal flow too. We're actually hoping the weather stays away so we can hit PA Friday and Saturday. Hopefully a few flatties will find their way back into the area after the derby last weekend. I think there will be plenty of room now that Jason got that 180#er outta their way

check out the new closure area it is much larger then before. lost some good hole in the new closed area.
heard we can thnak the commerical charter boats for the increased area of closed water as they did not comply with rules of the water set by the canadians.

I'll be up in Neah on Saturday Tracker, but will be fishing the American side. Weather depending of course. Going to go for the trifecta of butts, dingy lings and black bass. Probably run to the C-closure.

Yep I will be fishing US side on saturday also. Got some info and so I am going to give it a try. Just got the seats filled too! Price of fuel almost shut this trip down without the seats filled! Will be looking for you. I will be on the side of the road friday night late just short of town! Somewhere on C dock Saturday evening.

Go get them guys. Last year's trip was a real blast.

Not only was the fishing good, but the killer whale watching was exceptional. Poor sea lion. May it rest in peace.

It can never rest in peace because of the video! You should see all the comments about how sad that was! Thats on you tube though! Pretty sure most who respond there are trying to leave their own carbon footprint by seeing how much "Weed" they can personally smoke!

******* whiners, all of them. Sad, no. Fascinating, yes.

Anyone who spends a considerable amount of time in the outdoors will immediately understand what a food chain is.

I understand it, and I don't want to be anywhere in the chain except at the top. I've had a few close calls though.

I'll be coming from the campground I normally fish out of. We are going to try and make it up bright and early though. It is about a 50 mile drive from Joyce where I stay. I will bag it if the weather prediction changes though, I don't think it will. 3 ft swell should be ok for me. But barring poking my nose out and having it look like crap I am going. What channel are you going to be on? If you don't mind sharing shoot me a PM I am new to the Neah Bay thing mainly fish Halibut inside the Straits looking forward to it. First time I have tried Halibut there, lings and bass I have done.

Spent last Friday, Saturday and Sunday fishing out of Neah. Weather was OK, not great but I have fished in worse. Caught our limits of Lings and Black Bass. A friend of mine was fishing about 1/4 mile away in 90 to 100 feet of water and pulled up a 30 and then a 40 lb Halibut while jigging on the bottom with ruber worms. It took his crew about 45 min each to get them to the surface with 12 lb line and light gear. They took pic's and let them go as required. Gas was 4.20 at Big Salmon dock. Probably higher now. Paid 350 dollars to buy the diesel to pull the boat over and back. Can't keep fishing much longer at these rates.

Tracker, good luck out there. It should be a great weekend WX wise. Saw your post immediately after your first post, however, this is the first year that I did not get an early Canadian License. My bad!

CCSO5, I think this weekend will run $800 in fuel costs for the boat and the truck. I feel your pain!

Weather is looking real good and I hope it stays that way. Two new guys on the boat this weekend. All russian crew! They love fish, love to fish and are great crew. Truck normally is cleaner when I get home than when I leave. Amazing how much work goes on at the AM/PM while fueling up!

See you up there Tracker. Monitoring 16 myself. VHF is wirking great thanks to Stickfish. Turned out to be a combo of things. Still have a little staatic from the GPS but it is mostely gone. We'll be about 10 miles from you on the water. First trip out as skipper and am limiting it to where I said in the PM. Was just playing with the GPS looking at it. Want to test my real range with fill up to fill up and compare it to the Lowrance under the 1/3's rule. I just am going to have one other guy. Looks like I am making a day of it as I have to work Sunday.

Halibut hill is only a 2 mile run difference from La push and is the go to spot for most of the PSA boys Vrs. Neah bay anymore is actually a bit closer travel wise in your truck also I can look and see if I can pull up my #'s if you boys want them!!!PEACE
