Default David J.'s south coast swing (pics)

We had this trip scheduled for last Feb. but a big storm blew in and flooded everything out.
This year was to be different!

We started off on the Sixes Sunday AM.. but wouldn't you know it a system moved in and dumped a bunch of rain Sat. night.

The water was colored and a bit low but we managed a few fish.

Loyd started us off with this nice hen caught on a jig in a spot that, "should hold a fish" nice job Loyd!

Dave had #2 right up to the back but we couldn't quite grab ahold of her!.

and Loyd again in quickly coloring water hooked this nice hen on some of DJ eggs.

Day two had on on the SF of the Coquille for about an hour before it blew out :depressed: :depressed: oh well that's steelhead fishing!

Dave's coming back down in a couple weeks so we'll get'em then Dave!

Loyd it was a pleasure!
Thanks!

Nice fish TH! The Rogue is rising too right now. They expect it will hit about 8000 cfs tonight.

When DJ was here fishing, I got a chance to use one of your Rainshadow rods fishing jigs. I loved it! I don't know which model it was, but I'd like to get one later this spring.

Nice pics!

The sixes has been tough to figure this year. The amount of silt in it is off the charts, coloring it pretty bad with an inch of rain and blowing it out with much more than that. Good thing there are other rivers around there.

Thanks Grantspastor
Dave is fishing the 1141 as float rods and the 1143 as side drifting rods.
I think he's going to be getting a new set this year again, he might sell a few of his at the end of the year.

I am hoping that the Rogue jumps up to 8K
I think there will be a Springer on the back end of this storm!
