US/CANADA BORDER TO CAPE FALCON: Open May 25 through earlier of June 16 or 20,000 chinook quota. Open 7 days per week. Open for chinook salmon only. Two fish per day. Closed in the Columbia Control Zone. Minimum total length: Chinook = 24 inches. Single point single shank barbless hooks required.
LEADBETTER POINT, WA TO CAPE FALCON: Open July 7 through earlier of Sept. 30 or 55,700 coho subarea quota. Open Sunday through Thursday of each week through August 15, and 7 days per week beginning August 16. Open for all salmon, two fish per day, and all retained coho must have a healed adipose fin clip. Closed in the Columbia Control Zone, and closed from Tillamook Head to Cape Falcon beginning Aug. 1. Minimum total lengths: Chinook = 24 inches, steelhead = 20 inches, and coho = 16 inches. Single point single shank barbless hooks required. Inseason management may be used to sustain season length and keep chinook harvest within the guideline of 11,200 chinook.
CAPE FALCON TO HUMBUG MOUNTAIN:
GENERAL SEASON: Except as noted during the selective coho fishery below, the season will be open April 1 through October 31. Open for all salmon except coho, two salmon per day. Minimum total lengths: Chinook = 20 inches, steelhead = 20 inches. No more than 2 single point, single shank, barbless hooks may be used.
Note: Tillamook Triangular Control Zone has special regulations for chinook salmon. From April 1 through July 31 all retained chinook must have a healed fin clip.
SELECTIVE COHO FISHERY: Open July 7 through earlier of Aug. 4 or 22,500 coho quota. Open 7 days per week. Open for all salmon, two salmon per day, and all retained coho must have a healed adipose fin clip. Minimum total lengths: Chinook = 20 inches, steelhead = 20 inches, and coho = 16 inches. No more than 2 single point, single shank barbless hooks may be used.
HUMBUG MOUNTAIN TO HORSE MOUNTAIN, CA: Open May 15 through June 30, July 3 through 4, and Aug. 1 through Sept. 15. Open for all salmon except coho, two salmon per day, and no more than six salmon in seven consecutive days. Minimum total lengths: Chinook = 20 inches, steelhead = 20 inches. No more than 2 single point, single shank barbless hooks may be used.
