Default Maybe the last hike of the year....

Well, I ventured out with a buddy and his wife, and even though it was rainy and wet..... my buddy and his wife were on fire!

We reached our destination, and I had a good feeling about today, and once we planned an attack, my buddy looks over and says...."that looks like a tine sticking outta the grass......"

We searched and searched for the match.... but no dice!
And then I strike with a 5 pt....

Well the rest of the hike was an ever so familiar.... "Theres another one" and I was either a few yards too high/low or not ahead or blah blah!! LOL

We had a great time, and the rain let up our way out..... Here is a good shot of my buddy...

I gave him the 5 pt I found.... and then he gives me the big 6 pt!! I traded him some smoked salmon though, but still wont make up for the 6 pt he gave to me!! We had a great time, and I made a good friend. Him and his wife are good people.

We ended the day with his pile and my 5 pt....... I am still pouting. His wife contributed a six point and a nice 5 pt. ...... I may have one more trip ..... or a couple to redeem myself!! Until next time.......

I am heading back up this weekend in search of the match. That sword point is around 19 inches, and the third looks to be 15. Its a nice, nice shed.
