Halibut for 6/21 &6/22

Has anyone heard if we are going to have a slot for next weekend for Halibut? I looked in the ODFW page and it lists Aug,3 & 4 as the next dates. Tight Lines Tom

I just spoke with a marina owner, he said it looks good for the 21st and 22nd.

I just checked the catch data on the OFDW web page. It says they are having a 6/21 & 6/22 season. Hopefully the ocean will cooperate this time.

Trolling T-bay for springers is getting boring.

In speaking with the ODFW fish-checker on the 8th, it sure sounded like halibut would open again on the 21st/22nd. ODFW website mentioned the 21st/22nd as possible additional dates... BUT.... now there is no mention of additional June dates. Nor does the hotline mention the possibility. Both were updated on 6/10...Hmmm... :whazzup:

Go to the June Halibut link that I just brought to the top and click on Catch data on the original post. That will take you to the right link and then click on halibut season map "here". Sorry, I'm not much of of a computer guy. :whazzup:

Central Oregon Coast All-depth Recreational Pacific Halibut Fishery will reopen for Friday, June 21 and Saturday, June 22.

Sufficient poundage remains after the June 7-8recreational fishery for an additional two days of fishing on June 21 and 22, 2002 for Pacific halibut in all-depth waters between Cape Falcon and Humbug Mountain. If additional poundage remains after the June 21 and 22 opener, it will be added to the summer quota available for August-September. Click here for catch data.

The recreational Pacific halibut fishery between Cape Falcon and Humbug Mountain remains open inside of the 30-fathom curve seven days a week. This fishery will remain open until either the quota is reached or September 30, 2002, whichever occurs first.
