Which campground are you going to be in?....If you go to Hoover campground then walk out to the lake and then go to the right you will see a huge and I mean a mini house size boulder in the water....Now I have not been there yet this year, but, if you can walk out to that boulder fish off of that using pautzkie salmon eggs with power bait....You will catch plenty of fish....Now if you can not walk out to the rock due to the water level fish right next to the boat launch to the left of the rock and you well do well there as well.....

Just to add to the excellent advice already given. We used to do pretty well with a cheese egg and then topping with a red egg on the tip of the hook over at the inlets of Blowout or Kinney creeks. Just put enough weight crimped about 18" above the hook to keep it bouncing off the bottom when casting it out into the current. You can pick up some dandy hold-over trout that way.

I take my older son up there often. As others have stated, Hoover has some nice spots. I was there a week ago but it was still closed for restroom repairs. I parked at the gate and walked in. No one else was there and it was nice having the spot to myself. If you want consistent action for smaller ones (and a few big ones)- try the dam area. It is quite crowded at times. Just toss your bait out there and let it sink slowly. I have had success on powerbait and gulp products but my old standbys are shrimp, worms and corn. Good luck to you.
