Default Not good! Damn Thermal Trough!

Geez, I don't even think it's worth splashing the boat if things stay as predicted. June 21 and 22 is looking better all the time. The forecast looks similar to last weekend -- the wind was just screaming out of the NW.

Yep. This stinks. Great ocean mon, tue, wed, and then it falls apart.

My buddy from out of town is going to scratch, so I bet it will be nice. Mr. Fisherman? I figure we wait and see what is happening Friday afternoon and make the call. If their forcast is coming in line, then we will scratch.

Bummer....

I've seen forecasts like this turn out to be the best days I've had on the ocean. Most notably last year. We waited and waited for the wind to come but it never did and at 9:00 we left the dock. That is the day Team Bad Halibut was born. We came back to port with 247 pounds on 4 fish. I know the spot and look forward to going there again. Maybe Saturday .

Give me a call....

Sorry about that ...

That NW wind shuts down the offshore fishing every time. But it drives the upwelling which improves the feed and fishing. So there's a silver lining. It will most likely blow like this till mid July, just like every year.

You're right Pilar -- If there is one thing you can count on in June -- strong NW wind on the ocean. I'll trade a few blowout halibut days for a some glassy August tuna days -- anytime.

Well, darn it, I guess I'll just have to fish the Trask and T Bay for springers --
