Default Mouth of CR?

Without going over the bar, is there any good fishing inside the mouth..like in front of Ilwaco....?
I am going to drop a crab pot...and was wondering if I bounced along the bottom if I'd pick up a cod?

Yes, and thank you. Could make for a no go...we'll try to hit around the slacks at high and low...avoid the big run of water on the outgoing tide for sure...(sound about right?)

Jetty A in front of Ilwaco can be good at times for black rockfish. Time it for about an hour on each side of the slack.

I was down in Astoria all week and it was un fishable. The fresh water has pushed all the crab out of the bay and the wind/rain and heavy tides make it pretty miserable. Sturgeon fishing was very slow with only a hand full boats even trying. Save your money this weekend!
