Default Yaquina Bay night crabbing report

Went to Yaquina Bay last night to soak some crab bait. I crabbed from 9:30 to 1:30, and didn't do so well. I didn't get any keepers. Other people didn't seem to be doing very well either. Only one dungeness even approached keeper status, and it was a quarter inch too small. I only got one red rock crab, and it was about 2 inches across and went back in. I was using carp. Other people were using chicken or venison with similar results.

Happybrew~

I go night-crabbing all the time over in Newport. When we go, we usually hit a couple docks over by the Embarcadero. That seems to produce, from about those same hours. ...

..we usually get about a dozen or so crab. of those, 2-3 are dungeness but the red-rocks are GOOD-SIZED!~ so they're still a pretty good haul. try over there next time!
