I went and dug razors, and the ocean was so calm I couldn't stand it so....we ran out and in 5 minutes caught about a 25 lbs Chinook.

O wind and 2.6 swell....oh my

Caught was other stuff also.....cough...choke...you dont need to run to the Chicken ranch in June....they are closer now.

W/S SSHHHHH unless you want 200,000 of your closest friends on your stern as you head out next week. Seriously though. it is nice catching them out shallow isn't it.

Thanks for the advice but with the few days we get to fish. I would just hate to see someone get beat to death going to the ranch when they don't have too.
I am in the process of putting the finishing touches on using deep lines on halibut......my thoughts are you don't have to worry about the drift....and you can cover more ground on the inshore halibut...and you can catch chinooks at the same time.

I will tellyou what.....they sure take off when that flasher is hitting them in the back of the head....darn near spooled me.
