Special regs. for 3 arch bottom fish?

We are planning to try for some bottom fish this weekend. A while back someone mentioned that there is some closed areas (starting 5/15) due to bird nesting or something to that effect. Can anyone give any particulars. I'd hate to get a ticket from the bird police. :grin: Also, any GPS #'s for lings would be great. thanks in advance Kasey

There's a buoy out there off the rocks. Just stay outside of it and you'll be OK. I've been down there quite a bit lately, the better fishing has been well off the rocks anyway.

They watch that spot from Cape Mears. Stay west and south of the bouy line. Prepare yourself to be entertained, the rocks and waters are ablaze with puffins. They are comical with their little quail dealy bobber hanging off thier heads.

Bring a camera and catch them in the act ..... of fishing.
