Question Low rates on insurance for a teen driver

I am looking for insurance for my teen driver. They just got their licence, but insurance through the company we have is too expensive. I am looking to insure them individually with a company that has better rates for young drivers. So I am looking for suggestions on insurance companies that have competitive rates for teen drivers.

I have 2 teenage boy drivers at home, youchy, youch, youch. We are with farmers, liability only on older cars for them, that gets good mileage for their commute to college. When one got in a fender bender I paid the damage out of pocket. I lecture them about safe driving and minimize joy rides.

Not what you're looking for, but my wife and I just switched to Progressive and saved HA-YUGE over our old company. Huge. We're both between 23 and 25.

Low rates for teen drivers?

Sorry, I know it's not really a laughing matter....I feel your pain. We had two in the house at once.

We use American Family and they have been FANTASTIC!!! The best way for them to get the lowest rates is to maintain a 3.0 gpa. I don't know about other companies, but drivers ed makes little or no difference with Am Fam.

My pennies.
