Whats in your bag baby..... golfing
I made the small mistake of going into Golf Pro today thinking I was going to try out some wedges. The first one I tried was Clevelands 52* CG14 gap wedge with the zip grooves............. needless to say I walked out with a gap wedge and didnt even want to try anything else for fear I would lose more dough. I simply love this wedge. I can feel the club face connect and grab the ball and roll the ball up it's face before it launches it to a beautiful finish with no roll. Sure it chews up a ball or two but...who cares with that type of feel. So, whats in your bag?
Taylor made R5 Driver
Cleveland Hi Bore 3 wood 15*(the bomb)
taylor made rescue Hybrid 19*
acer 26* hybrid for those 200 yd straight outta the sky drop.
3-9 Callaway X-12 Stiff Graphite shafts
Vokey 52* bent to 48* (im a lefty)
NEW... Cleveland 52* CG14
Nike 56*
Adams 60* Tom Watson lob
I will soon be upgrading my sand and lob wedges to either the cleveland or Vokey spin milled.

Re: Whats in your bag baby..... golfing
I dont want to hear any gripes about how much one has to spend on his golf clubs. I have to buy my sons clubs too! My youngster has twice as much money in his set as I do in mine. Fortunately the manufacturer will resize his clubs twice. Praying we make it into beginning of high school with his current set.
My set-
Callaway FT3 Fusion driver 10deg. stiff shaft
Callaway fusion 5 hybrid
Nike Slingshot 3-pw 3 deg flat
Callaway 56deg. wedge
odyssey 2 ball white hot steel putter
My 11 yr old son-
Henry Griffits-HG
HG 400 13 deg titanium driver 3 deg flat
HG RDH 27 deg fairway 3 deg flat
HG 5,7,9,pw,sw irons 7 deg flat
HG RDH 60deg tour wedge 7 deg flat
Taylor Made Rosa putter

Re: Whats in your bag baby..... golfing
I'd like to try out one of those Ping g10 drivers myself. They had a pretty good feedback in golf digest and Ive heard from others that they work pretty well.

Re: Whats in your bag baby..... golfing
Wow...Lots of Cleveland guys here. Thanks for the kind words on the Cleveland products. My name is Jason, I'm the Cleveland rep here in Oregon and SW Wa. The cg14 wedge is killer, the zip groves produce more spin than any other wedge on the market. If you get a chance demo our new XLS Driver, Golf digest gave it the highest rating in the hot list (gold).
Thanks for Buying at Pro Golf of Vancouver. Mike and Carol are really nice people. Its also nice to support the small independent owners. Best of luck, hit' em staight.
Jason

Re: Whats in your bag baby..... golfing
CG 11 wedges in my bag. I been a Cleveland guy for awhile. That said, the Hi Bore driver I have is a turd.. it lasted in the bag about 3 rounds. Outside of that, my favorite stuff. The Launcher irons I have are two years old, and any person that has ever hit them.. are like.. DAMN.. Taylor made is the other company that makes some sweet stuff. How anyone could hit a Ping iron I'll never know. Just look and feel weird to me. Thats a cool thing about golf, to each his own

Re: Whats in your bag baby..... golfing
My driver is the Callaway 460 Big Bertha 9 degree with stiff shaft, 3 and 5 Callaway fairway metals,stiff/graphite, My Irons 3-PW are 06 Big Bertha's, graphite-reg flex.
I own a Callaway 56 degree wedge but rarely use it. My putter is a Sebring 3 Taylormade Rosa.
I can't stand Tiger Woods, My favorite golfer is Natalie Gulbis and if I golfed as much as I fished i'd be a much better golfer.

Re: Whats in your bag baby..... golfing
My bag is full of Cougar Cats! Ya baby! (don't laugh) I got a killer deal for a starter set. This year will be my second fair-weather season and can't wait to get out there after work if the sun would stay shinin'. Haven't gone on the weekend yet, been fishin . When I grow up, I want a set of Taylormades

I play regular shafts, and I'm 5'10" on a tall day. I hit my drives with a draw, and average about 250-275. I have had zero buyers remorse with it, plus it doesn't make that hideous 'crack' noise that the new Nike and Cobra clubs do.
