If ODFW can extend its tag dead line date in one afternoon then they need to extend spring bear season over east. My thoughts, the machines were slow or broken. Spring bear season has been snowed out. It's called equal opportunity and doing what's right.

It seems like snow in the spring is part of the risk with having a spring bear season, just like other weather conditions are a risk during other seasons. Good and bad weather is part of the sport, and to me its part of the risk we run. At the same time, I don't know if there would be any harm to extending the season.

The bears are out in force from what I heard today. A guy I know stuck one today with a bow and saw three others in one canyon. The down side is there was a camp of 24 people that moved in today then a couple other camps. So the bears may not be there for long and I can't get there until wednesday. it is killing me why do we have to work.

I didn't hunt Oregon Spring bear this year because I could see the snow was "piling" up before the applications where due, and there was no way I'd be able to get to "my spot" before it melted.
I was hoping for more "Carryover" for next year. How long did they extend the season?

What about fires closing the area you have been waiting to hunt in for five years just to loose your tag becasue of fires in the area. Sorry but it happens
