Default Role Call Maybe?

Since I am headed to the gorge for a couple days this week before we go out friday, I thought I would try and start a roll call for the boats that are leaving out of Newport Friday morning. I will be there in a 25' aluminum boat with a Red top and a white Honda kicker, on the side is a Jumping Sturgeon logo with "Fish On Adventures" over it. I am going to be launched around 0430 and I will be at the boat drinking coffee and waitin for everyone to get there, I am planning on heading out just as soon as possible after that.
I would like to know who all from here is going? maybe get a chance to put a face with the names?

Later~

Pilar will be moored at 'A' dock, S. Beach Marina, Thursday evening 9 May 2002.

White on Blue, 19' Bayliner Jamaica with white canvas. Look for the sawbill swordfish decal and Ifish stickers. On the fishing grounds I will fly the blue flag of whoop @$$ if the wind permits.

Head out at 0530 Friday morning. Saturday too, same time. Look for 'Puffin' there too. 'Double Gaynor' will be at D-47. Threemuch? Wak'm & Stak'm?, Salmonator?

Stoyjun Princess and her husband Greg and Moby and his son will be departing Saturday morning in an Alumaweld Intruder with red top and iFish stickers.

Stoyjun Princess and her husband will be going out early on Friday with some other friends, too.

I guess 77 is the VHF channel.

Good Luck!

I'm developing a nervous tick in my left arm. Everytime I pick up a pencil with my left hand, I yell fish on and hurl it over my shoulder.

My fellow inmates in cube-ville are not amused.

Is it normal to be this excited over a stupid fish?

Stoyjun Princess and Greg will be in the brown Ford Truck with the brand new (maiden voyage) Adventurer camper in the RV park at the marina. I'll be there Friday night in an old white Dodge pickup with a popup camper.

Be sure and note the white Dodge pickup because this is where you will need to leave your Butt Derby donations on Saturday night.

Hey Sturgn, Haven't talked to you since we both had engine problems. I guess we'll finally meet. I'm planning on both days. Not camping. We're close enough to drag down each day. Should make the ramp about 4:30am.

Camping near the salmonator, threemuch will be in the water Thursday night. We will be putting our crab gear out before tieing up the 22' Olympic Wheelhouse at A dock. In the campground look for a big white Lance slide in on a '01 F350 Dually Crew cab. And a crappy silver durango hitched to an even crappier trailer.

Can't wait!

Team Dan! will be, hey wait a minute, Capin' Dan will be taking the navigators position for this trip. Team Dave! will be fishing Friday and Saturday. Backing into the water before 4:30 on both days, and maybe mooring Friday night. $12.50 a night seems a bit stiff for moorage.
Capin' Dan will be with me at least one of the days and maybe Mr. F on Saturday. Details to be figured out later this afternoon.
Team Dave will be in a 20' white North River with a black top if the weather looks wet, Merc. kicker and a big white or blue cooler strapped to the back with halibut tails sticking out both ends on the trip back home.

Weather?
Forecast says 4 and 6 right now for Friday. Hope it gets better.
Buoy report says combined right now are at 7' and current conditions say the wind is only whispering at 6 knots. It looks like the weather may improve a bit, but not much.

$12.50 to moor? Two weeks ago I moored at South Beach for $6. Are they gouging us due to the Butt season?

Oh well, it's only money.

Ouch!

I had one of those slips just down past the launch. I wonder if they are putting you in one of the spots with electricity? I don't need electricity.

Seems cheap to me. Or you could volunteer for time at the boat ramp at first light.

The memories would be priceless.

Holy cow! I was almost positive she told me 6 bucks a night to moor. No wonder they always have open slips available!
