No. Oregon Coast Chinook Fishing

I believe the ocean is open for Chinook, yes? If so, has anyone heard how Chinook fishing has been so far off the north Oregon coast, specifically, out of Garibaldi?

We gave it a shot for a couple hours to no avail a couple weeks back, but that doesn't mean they aren't there. All the locals I talk to seem to think that there are only springers out there now. I don't buy it, those fall fish have to be around fattening up. Anyway, keep us posted, if we get more than a couple boats trying we will hit them. I have seen commercial trollers out of Garibaldi, so those kings are around. Find some bait and start trolling!

Thanks Threemuch. I've been fishin' up on the Willamette and Columbia....to no avail! I'm ready to start headin' down to the coast where I usually do better. I'll keep in touch if I hear of any action. :smile:
