Re: Night Fishing for Springers?
In the bottom of the Willamette river Below Milwaukie it is always Night time.
I have been diving in the Willamette river near St. Johns bridge and other places.
Below ten feet you can only see about a foot with a flashlight and that's it.
Though they do have night vision.

Re: Night Fishing for Springers?
I don't think you can fish at night in oregon. I know you can in washington. Might want to check the regs. I would use glo kwickfish or something like that. YOu can take a camera flash and they will stay charged for probably 10 minutes or so. used to nock the steelhead dead on the cowlits like this.
Wetaline - You are the first coug i have scene on this site. When did you graduate? I'm a 2000 grad.

Re: Night Fishing for Springers?
FYI, not to downplay SteelieSlammers camera flash idea, but if you use a flashlight of better yet, spotlight on a glowing lure, the charge lasts much, much longer. The glow lure basically reciprocates the energy it receives. A flash creates a very bright, very brief glow, while a flashlight produced glow may not be quite as bright, but it lasts longer!

Re: Night Fishing for Springers?
It is illegal to fish at night for Springers in Idaho as well as Oregon.
I think the lighted Kwikie idea would work great in Washington. Might have to try it when I go...
