Default Moorage on the Coast

I'm looking at a 28 foot boat that I wouldn't be towing around much. I want to moor it at the coast preferably somewhere between Garibaldi and Waldport.

I'm hoping for electricity and low monthly rates. I thought Waldport was the ticket but they don't have electricity. Now I'm thinking Toledo and make the run to Newport but I'm afraid I could only do that during high tide.

Any suggestions for cheap moorage with electricity?

Moby,

I would suggest South Beach ... that really is the best place on the mid-coast. There are a couple areas on the Yaquina downriver from Toledo that could give you problems at low tide and the fog can be very thick in that stretch, especially in late summer and early fall. The channel is marked fairly well, so you could do it, but if you make a mistake you'll be sitting on a mud flat pretty fast. The worst area is just downriver from the Airport Boat Ramp (near Toledo).

I don't know if I would consider South Beach necessarily cheap, but in terms of facilities, it's the best.

Waldport is not an option.
