Re: Eagle Vs Swan OUCHIES
I don't know about swans, but I used to always wish that eagles would turn on those crows that always seem to follow them around, making a whole lot of noise.

Re: Eagle Vs Swan Ouchies With all photo's added
What a thing to see and get photos of too...
Looks like the Swan just lost some feathers and it's wing beat timing.
Last year while crossing the Alaska Gulf 80 miles off shore with a 30 mph wind from the NW. A flock of about 8 swans flew by. They were just above the waves and making decent speed against the wind. Must have been some sort of advantage flying so low. Had to take a few brain cell photos of the event.

Re: Eagle Vs Swan Ouchies With all photo's added
From the E-mail info I got, regarding the Eagle & Swan. The swan got away, dropped to the lake & just swam off, with the eagle looking really Grumpy. Lost a good Meal on the wing.
Bet the goose has a sore Tail section with some Rudder issues now.
Just great timing for the photo's.

These are my photos that I took in April 2008 near my house in Terrace!
Yes, the swan was okay, it was an amazing event to witness and capture with my camera!

Re: Eagle Vs Swan Ouchies With all photo's added
I bought a D50 and 80-400 VR lens about two years ago. The first or second day I had it I went out to the elk refuge to snap some pictures and get to know the camera. As I'm sitting there a peregrine falcon swoops down and kills a coot. He made several stoops and I got pictures of several of them, but I wasn't really familiar with the camera yet so they turned out OK but not great. Of course, I've never seen that again. Oh well. It's a lot of fun just to witness an event like that.
