Default Three Arches/Twin rocks ?

The weekend of the 27th me and another boat from the board are going to try for some sea bass out of Garibaldi after some clamming in the bay, if the ocean is half flat. If it is which would be the best choice, I've fished by twin rocks before but never ran down to Three Arches being down south of the mouth I think 6 miles or so. Anybody been or have a preferance of the two?

We have been whacking the bottomfish at three arches so far this year. Lings, cabs, and blacks. That's where the party boats go, so if you have the capability, I would go there.

Martin85, Yeah, what Kurt said. Get it as soon as you can because the puker boats will run this spot down fast when the charter fishing picks up.

Go to the 1/2 awash rock farthest from the beach and work straight out from there. That whole area is rocky and you'll find reefs and pinnacles all ove within a mile or two west of the above mentioned rock.

White shrimpflies, glow tails on jigs and mooched herring work well here.

Don't forget to put your crab gear out along the beach in 30 to 40 ft of water 1/2 mile South of the South Tillamook jetty on your way out.

It's about 6 - 7 miles from the jaws to the 3 arch rocks.

I'll be out there with Threemuch on Saturday too. U'll find black bass in very close to the farthest south rock at 3arch... hookup every pass. But I'm thinking initial destination Twin Rocks to see if the Chinook can be found there, and if not then head south to the deep reefs off 3 arch rocks, slam bottom fish last. Of course this float plan is subject to change after I see the water.

I answer to "Adrianna" on Ch 16. Stay in touch, share results info, maybe form up on the floatilla.
