Default The *SECRET* Ling Slayer...

Well, johnboy asked me to post pictures of the Puffin Ling Slayer.

For $19.95 I'll email you all fine quality digital images of it, but wait! if you order within the next 5 minutes I'll forge a kitchen pass for ya and mow yer lawn while yer gone. I'll even keep the misses company

O.K., maybe I'm getting carried away.

You want to see the jig that caught 5 ling in one day with the largest over 55#?

Well here it is:

I uploaded the pics but they seem to have a problem.

It's not the file size and , ahh stick around and I'll get this figured out. Ya didn't want to see it just yet anyway, did you?

It's comming.......

Here you go. Any red, orange, yellow or glow on the hootchies is a plus. The striped one shown is from Alaska and we don't know where to get more like it. The orange hootchie you see on the completed rig is actually 2 one inside the other. These large singles are at FM. They are called Psychotails and I last saw them in the Tuna and blue water section. Red and white would work too. The worm is a Kalins Big Ugly, it glows. Use the biggest one you can find. The lead head can be purchased from Oregon Tackle and comes in 20, 24 and 30 oz sizes.

Ling 1, completed jig

Ling 2, completed jig

Ling 3, Head and hootchie

Ling 4, Head

Nice pictures! I can see why a ling would bite that monster - It's self defense! Their probably afraid it will eat them if they don't eat it! That thing must drop like a canonball!
Do you use a winch to jig with? How big is the hook?
Oh by the way thanks for the description. I am sure I will add it to my arsenal.
,Ed

Mark, I'll have to ask Jon. They moved from the old place on Johnson Creek blvd a few months ago. They are still in town but I don't know where, haven't been there yet.
