Launch Checklist
Have you ever gone out on a trip and left some vital gear back at the house? Here's a few things I always make sure I have before I drag the boat down the road.
-change of clothes (socks) and raingear
-Rods and reels
-Tackle and lead
-Electronics
-Fish Bait
-PFDs and Throw
-Harpoon, gaff and/or net
-Ice for fishbox
-Crab gage
-Kicker, gas and hose
-Crab traps
-Crab bait
-Cooker, Zatarains, pot and propane
-Coolers and fishbags
-Food and water
-Sunblock
Did I forget anything?

Re: Launch Checklist
Fishing license!
Cell Phone
Sunglasses
Cigars
Fillet knife and stone
Spare spools of line
Excedrin/tylenol
I'm sure there is other stuff too.
That's why I have it on a large list on my computer. Just check it all off as you go.

Johnboy!
You forgot ME!
DON'T FERGET YER LUCKY CHARM  ,
He'll bring the flashlight, backup radio, extra leatherman wave, lucky jigs,LUCKY POT, and best of all, Burittos and liquid nectar refreshments!
I always check to being the sea bisquet pills and remember to leave a FLOAT PLAN with a RESPONSIBLE PARTY!
Float plan should include boat ID#, Boat Colors, Make, type, port of departure, time of departure, area to be visited and estimated time of arrival at port. Always follow up with a phone call to let folks know you are back. Sometimes they worry when you go 40 miles out on a 19' boat .
Tick tock, lets speed up the clock. 24 Days till we head to the HILL!
Die flattie DIE!

Re: Launch Checklist
Along with the gear and supplies, what do you bring to eat when you fish? I resort to peanut butter and jam for breakfast with coffee, spicy doritos and a sandwich for lunch. Any better ideas?

Re: Launch Checklist
One box of Ritz crackers, 1 jar of tuna (Yes, homemade) and a bottle of Newmans own 2000 island dressing. Open the jar, dump out the oil and eat the first couple of inches the way it is. Then dump in some dressing and mix it up.
Dip it up with the crackers and go!
Or Mr. F's exhaust manifold cooked breakfast burritos are pretty tasty 30 miles offshore. Just wipe the Halibut slime off your hands before you dive into it. Yeah, that and a Henries ale.

Re: Launch Checklist
You might consider a big bag of Ginger Snaps. Research done at the University of Wisconson last year showed that Ginger had a clinically significant impact on reducing motion sickness. It helps to avoid and make your day more

Re: Launch Checklist

Re: Launch Checklist
Angle,
Herbal relaxation agents? If you are refering to what I think, I sure hope you don't have any passengers with you when you start in on it.
