Looking for May Hali partner
Gentlemen,
Like many of yourselves, I am currently planning one or more trips to the Chicken Ranch for halibut
next month with the Salty Dogs. Because of the distance of this run and fuel
issues, I am only going to fill one seat for whatever day(s) I go for it. 30ish miles is a long
a** trip on the open ocean in an 18 foot boat, no matter how sound and
mechanically perfect it is. Ideally, the person I seek will be able to keep all
four days available and be ready to head west with only a day's notice,
be physically fit, and very comfi with moving water (surfer, diver, seaman, etc)...
be impervious to sea sickness or propery premedicated.
Once two years ago I took someone out on a 4 & 3 (not too bad at all) day and he
literally soiled his trousers and then mutinied. (That ever happens again,
someone will find himself in a one man blow up dingy on his way to South America).
I guarantee an unforgettable experience, no matter what,. We'll
be getting wet and possibly enduring a long sporty ride back; We're
talking' balls-o-steele required', and 50/50 any given day staged will
have to be scrubbed at the last minute due to wind preditcions...ie I'm
going to keep all four days open on my schedule and sieze any and all
opportunities for a safe trip, but will not go that far out without a really
sweet conditions day.
