nice fish!!! RJ, I've been considering a trip to cabo with the wife and would love to do a little fishing while there. However I've heard alot of stories about these rip off charters. Could you give it too me straigh since you've just got back. After you pick a charter and catch your fish do you take the meat home? who cleans and packs? how is it shipped? thanks

yes John it was a striped,I guess from what they tell me the bigger blacks start showing up in the summer months with the best fishing for all species marlin, tuna dorado ect ect coming in the fall, dont know for sure but just took it for what I was told. The marlin took a live mackeral,it was finnin on top and the capt got the boat in position and we flipped the mackeral out in front of him that mackeral had no more than hit the water when the marlin took off like a silver bullet after it,all reels onboard were lever drags both shimano and penn so we were in free spool for the hit,let him run for a few seconds ,then hit that lever and stickem, then the race was on! the dorado hit a tuna clone same size we use here for albacore in purple & white

ry there are a ton of good boats down there so dont let that concern you we saw lots of fish come in and lots of flags flying off the outrigger poles coming in every day we fished on the Baja Raider they have a web site as does Cabo magic check out the sites and links,we helped our mate clean our fish and brought lots of gallon size freezer bags and two empty coolers came down with us as luggage on alaska air you can go up to 70lbs of luggage at no extra charge,so the coolers came back with fish they have cleaning stations there at the marina for a nominal charge the boys clean them and you can make arrangements for where the meat is to be taken, the villa we stayed at froze ours at no extra charge and packed our coolers when we had to leave,as far as them tequila jello girls they sure are pretty .I miss them already

Well Hello Ifish community, ole wak'm has been catching up on things, I am back and YUP! I am going to give the fish hell this year.

I just wanted to say something about RJ and the Jello girls, he was an easy target with his mouth wide open like it was, he kinda looked like a love sick snapper heading for an anchovie.

Hey Rj.........I am glad you thought the seating arrangements on the plane were funny..........it wont happen again.( i hope)
