Halibut?

Pilar, I read one of your "salvaged" threads about halibut fishing. One question....What are the four days that people are setting aside for halibut? I thought it was open 7 days a week starting May1, unitl the quota is met. Does anyone need a helping deckhand who brings great coffee and enthusiasm????

MarlinMark, you're right. The fishing for Halibut is open from May 1 to Sept. 30 if you fish in less than 30 fathoms of water.

The 'other season' is also in May and covers all the deep locations offshore. The four days of the all depth fishery in May are 10, 11, 17, 18.

This is the fishery everyone participates in because most of the good holes are in 600 ft of water.
