Default Roll call and parts list ... make your own tackle

Hi ... Just a reminder about the Sinker Party. I'd like to give Mr. Danny Neal a chance to
accomodate the folks that are coming to our gathering. So this is a roll call and mold muster.
I'll list the molds I am bringing and what you need to buy in order to use them. I have a few
hooks and plan on using them for what I am making. I also have a few brass hoops and barrel
swivels for the other sinkers.

So tell us who you are, what you are bringing and what you'd like to use. Also what time
would be good too. This stuff is all available at FM. GI Joes has some molds and hooks too.
For bottom fishing jigs the hooks should be for saltwater. The non plated hooks will rust
out before you can use the gear.

Mold ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hook ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Brass Hoops

1/2 to 16 oz ball ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ No ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ M2 and M3 for 16oz. (Oregon Tackle)
32, 40, 48, 64 ball ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ No ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ M3
20 ball ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ No ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Medium barrel swivel
12 oz. bullet jig ~~~~~~~~~~ 12/0 Mustad #34081 ~~~~~~~~~~ M2
1 oz. bullet jig ~~~~~~~~~~~ 5/0 Mustad #34184 or 5/0 413 style Eagle Claw O'shaughnessy 45 degree bend at eye not 90
1-1/2 oz. bullet jig ~~~~~~~~ 6/0 same as above
2 oz. bullet jig ~~~~~~~~~~~ 7/0 same as above
6, 8, 10, 12 oz. ling weights ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (2) M2

That's all I can get ahold of that and an 80# bucket of tire weights. I can't find the
413 style in a 7/0, anywhere and a 6/0 will work in a pinch.

What about you?

I am looking for a 6 or 8 oz. bullet jig with an 8/0 or 10/0 hook for bottom fishing.

I had said in an earlier post that I would be attending this function, but unfortunately I had one thing come up since then. It has required my attention for the last four weekends and will be requiring my attention for the next couple as well.
Have fun all and be safe with the fumes

I have an eye problem...I can't see being here at work any longer.

I'm still planning on being there. I have a 6 oz Diamond Jig that I have been using for bottom fishing. It's the one that looks like a Buzz Bomb but your line doen't run through it. All anyone will need for this setup is #5 split ring and your choice of 2/0 thru 4/0 Treble hooks. This stuff can be added on anytime after they're poured. I'll also bring my 2:3:4:5oz. bank sinker mold, a 1:2:4:6oz. Pyramid mold. There are no parts required for these weights. I also have a 20oz. cannon ball mold but I see that Pilar has one himself. I plan on using the 48 oz. and 64 oz. and will probably just make a few of what looks good at the time. Speaking of time, I can be there at any so lets pick a time. I need to let the little woman know when I'll be gone. What do we have for a melter?

I'll be there.
I'll bring some smoked Salmon, Sturgeon and Halibut. I have a small Smelting pot that I'll bring and I'll try to get some hooks and eyes.

I have room for 2 or 3 if anyone wants to car pool.

Drop me a line at jeeperusa1@netscape.net

I can also bring a fan and 1 respirator.

Looking forward to it. Now where is that friendly fisherman with his can of primer?....

Yes, I've been turning tire weights in to bread pan sized ingots all week. I've got four now for about 100 lbs total. The molds I have all work and I have materials and hooks to cast a few sinkers and jigs.

What time do we start?

10 am OK?

Back to the top so Dan! can find it

10:oo sounds a little early for me. Hard week of fishing and clamming. I think I'll try a poll.

Hey All,

Mr. Fisherman here from Dan!'s house.

The Sinker party will start at 9:00 am Saturday morning. Dan! turns into a pumpkin at 4:00 p.m. and we will most likely wind things up by then.

I have been asked to cook and will be frying up some clams, fish and my famous hot wings. There will also be fresh caught Springer on the grill and some Halibut thanks to Team Bad Halibut.

Bring a resperator if you have one. Lead, molds, and a good attitude.

See you there.

Mr. Fisherman aka Ray

I'm bringing a couple of bored teenagers and a load (I hope) of razor clams. We're going digging first thing. Oh yeah, Bugleman will be coming along too. We should get there about 10:30 or so.

See you tommorrow.

Oh Danny, I'll bring your wiring supplies too.
