This post is for those who primairly like to saltwater fish. Topics-boats, gear, tackle, gps, gps know-how, tides, salt, mysteries of the deep, ledgends of Pilar and his exploits, and generally a pretty good group of fishermen.

Hey guys, welcome back.

I'll try to put back as much of what we had as I can find. You can help. I think finding that first post would be the key to answering the question asked.

The data went away .. the computer givith and the computer taketh away.

Salty Dogs is a forum for hard bitten individuals who brave the Pacific Ocean and take from it what they can get and live to tell the tale.

Seriously though, this is a place for people who want to crew and people with boats needing crew to join up. We plan trips out of the various ports on the Oregon and Washington coast. The goal here is safety in numbers. Several boats together with experienced crew on at least some of them at first is much safer then one boat all alone.

We can teach each other things too. Like how to not stop the boat when the Tuna gear goes off. Or how the only way to chase a sounding harbor porpoise in 900 ft of water is to fish from a submarine.

I'll find the posts I have and restore them. If you have a cache of files ending in .htm you can view them. If you find something interesting from here then repost it. Use cut and paste to put it into a new post. Try to use the same name. It does not matter if the whole string goes into one post. Look in c:\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.ie5

We can read it and learn something.

The lesson for April 1 is nothing lasts forever.

Peace and welcome back.
