i have not fished it but heard from reliable sources that the trout have been cooperating nicely for guys trolling. I am anxious to get out there myself. I have heard nothing about the warmwater species. I would imagine the crappie should be starting to stage for the spawn any time now. Waiting for the new ramp at the dam to open. Please give a report when you get back and good luck.

Was over at prineville April 24-27. Searched for crappie up the crooked river arm and bear creek with no success. FF showed alot of fish at the mouth of bear creek but we could not get any biters so don't know if crappie or not. Everyone trolling for trout, never trolled for them before so struck out with that tactic. Decided to fish from shore and enjoy the sunny weather and an adult beverage, caught several trout in the 15-18 range using worms, also a couple of catfish. Good luck.
