Default Plunking Levelwind?

I've only been plunking seriously for the past 3 years. I've been using an old, narrow spool Penn non-levelwind that my father gave me. It's better as a boat reel and time to replace it for my plunking needs. The thing casts a mile, but has a very slow retrieve and I'm tired of thumbing the line.

I don't want to soak a bunch of money into this, less than $120.00. I've Been looking into the Penn 320, Daiwa makes a reel at this price point and there have been some good reports on Okuma's, for the money. How's your experience with any of these, or do you have any other suggestions?

Also, In order to hit the slot I like to fish, I really have to wing it. Will I lose that much casting distance, by going levelwind?

Ambassador 7000
Penn 320 GTI
Shimano TR 200

these are great levelwinds for standard Columbia river bank fishing and will limit casting to some degree but all will cast flawlessy and I have owned or used each of them with great results...(but)if mile casts are needed the one and only is the Diawa 50H open face. It's the bankie casting Cadillac!!

That is a Daiwa 50H open face. It has a faster retrive then the old ones (Black And Chrome)

Cotalot,
Here's a link to Diawa and the Sealine series.
the reel featured is the SL-X50HC. 4.9.1 gears

There is another model SL-X50HV. 6.1.1 gears

I currently have the 4.9.1 and it cranks shakers in on plane using 65# tuffline plus

web page Diawa Sealine's
