Default Kelly Point 12/30

Guess it wasnt my day today :depressed: . All I got to show for todays effort was 4 shakers . I started off below the Willamette in a spot I have caught fish in before. I guess I missed the sweet spot since the boat that anchored inside of me started hitting fish right away. They had two keepers when I left. Another boat anchored below me about 500 yards and to the inside and in 40 mintues they nailed 3 keeper's and were done  . The first two keepers were caught within 8 minutes of dropping anchor.

Sometimes your the windshield, sometimes your the bug..........

WD,
I know the feeling man. I hit it real hard yesterday in my "fish on" spots and had about the same results as you. Oh well, another day logged on the mighty Columbia. I am hitting it again in the morning so hopefully the sturgies will rise for the Tacklebuster.

WD,

You think you feel bad, I've been the bug for three days straight! Fished the lower Willamette for a couple shakers, then went down the big C 5-6 miles and tried some less populated holes down there. Ended up back at St. Johns. The day's total..... 7 shakers, none larger than 25".

No more for this year. I'll be back in Jan after I thaw out.

SS,

I was down at marker 32 and saw you go by thinking man, he's got a honey hole he's heading for  . Maybe I ought follow him and check it out.....

I was going to stop and say hi as I pasted you below St. Johns but it looked like your were just setting up so I didnt want to bother you. Besides, we were frozen as well and wanted to get into that nice warm cab! We'll get em' next year!

T, Good luck!

Day 3 of John and Jon excellent fishing adventure. Three guys, three fish on a rope. First fish was a fat 54" followed by two 43" fish. We went through 4 sacks of bait and a whole boatload of boisterous BS. Kelly point again, smelt again.

We were late clearing the first fishing deal but made it to long beach for some razors. Yummmm.

Its whats for breakfast.

So now after a little sleep, day 4?

Oh Yeah!

FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT CHOOSE TO ANCHOR IN THE CHANNEL AND CHOOSE TO IGNORE THE 6 BLASTS OF THE APPROACHING SHIPS HORN, I SAY LEARN OR DIE. ANCHORING OCCURED YESTERDAY WITH LITTLE OR NO REGARD FOR NAVIGATION BY LARGER VESSELS. IF THEY HONK YOU MUST MOVE. ITS A $5000 FINE TO OBSTRUCT THE CHANNEL.

That is all..... Happy new Year!
